RIVAL A/S ensures production capacity with a SmartZell T70
By automating the part handling at the CNC machine, RIVAL A/S has increased its production capacity and used the skills of its employees by reducing manual working time.
We have delivered a SmartZell T70 to RIVAL A/S Maskinfabrik in Skanderborg. The robot cell handles parts at a DMG CNC machine, and is equipped with a 3 backed double gripper from Schunk that can grip both raw parts and finished parts.
The KUKA robot loads the CNC machine with the raw parts, and when the parts are finished, the robot offloads the machine and blows off the cooling water in a blowbox.
Finally, the finished part is placed on a cart, which an operator can empty when it is full. In order to make the best use of the capacity of the wagon, the robot makes sure to stack the finished parts in several layers on the wagon, so that the operator does not have to empty the wagon just after the first layer.
