SmartZell M20 with servogriber
We demonstrated our compact SmartZell M20 with servo gripper at Mazak in Middelfart.
CSO Olav Sjørslev and our robot programmer Freddy Buur-Mouridsen demonstrated the compact SmartZell M20 with servo drive together with Mazak's smallest 5-axis CNC milling machine, the Mazak CV5-500, several times during the 3-day event in Middelfart.
In the video you can see the demonstration of a running cycle of machining square parts in two passes in the CNC machine, with the robot itself taking care of turning and rotating the part between the two operations. Because the vice is used as a gripper, it is possible to quickly switch between the 1st and 2nd runs without wasting time.
User-friendly robotic automation
Our SmartZell solutions are characterised by ease of use and fast entry of new parts. So you can quickly change over the cell with the user-friendly HMI, making it worthwhile to automate the production of even a few parts. You can see a demonstration of the intuitive HMI here!
Our SmartZell solutions can be equipped with either a fence or a scanner. We had a scanner fitted to the cell we brought to the Chip Taking Days, but both solutions ensure easy access. With fencing, you can also choose whether to have a door or a light grid as the opening into the cell, both with security modules.
New knowledge for the industry
The chip removal days were organised by Mazak and KJV, and the focus has been on giving guests inspiration for optimisation all around in their own production with new technology in machines, tools, automation and machining. Here, automation is undeniably an essential factor to remain competitive in the future.
The first two days of the event were primarily for industry stakeholders, while the Friday focused on vocational schools and inspiring them.
Thank you to all the visitors who came by our booth and the great interest in our robotic cell!
