VOLA A/S receives robot no. 30 from QRS
VOLA is popularly synonymous with eminent quality and Danish design. The company originates from a haberdashery business founded back in 1873. In the 1950s, the VOLA we all know today was born, and when the National Bank installed VOLA luminaires designed by Arne Jacobsen in the 1960s, the road to success was paved. A lot of water has flowed through the taps since then, and VOLA today has become a piece of Danish history that continues to produce its quality products in this country and export them all over the world.
But it's not just design and quality assurance that VOLA has been extremely good at over the years. It's also automation. VOLA got its first robot in 1982. Since then, the amount of robots has grown steadily at VOLA, and long before Industry 4.0 was even a concept, VOLA became an early example of just that. Today, production, assembly and shipping count everything from fully automated polishing, grinding and brushing robots to machining cells and 9 AGV robots from Omron.
At QRS, we are very proud that our logo can be found on several of the robot cells that are part of VOLA's production. Our year long cooperation was exceptionally marked on Monday 24 January, when we had the pleasure of delivering our 30th KUKA robot to VOLA. On the occasion of the day, the robot was equipped with a red bow and we sent a handful of brown buns with the robot. We also had a tour of the production, where a handful of our robot cells can be seen here in the video.
We would like to take this opportunity to congratulate VOLA on its 30th robot and thank you for the good cooperation. The robot is part of a completely new grinding cell that is extremely flexible and adaptable.
