Production facilities at MillPart A/S
Many companies process items with high complexity. One of these is MillPart A/S, who just future-proofed their production facilities with a QRS solution that changes both pallets and tools. The solution ensures unmanned operation for many hours.
MillPart A/S produces some very complex, hydraulic-related items with an extraordinary focus on quality and accuracy that are processed with several tools in the CNC machines.
That is why we just delivered a robot solution consisting of, amongst other things, a 120 kg KUKA robot, mounted on a 6 meter long driving rail. This allows the robot to service 2 different CNC machines, and the solution can store 25 pallettes as well as supplement the tools at their disposal with an additional 60 tools.
The operator places raw items and tools in the charging station, after which the robot makes sure to place them in suitable positions in the plant's shelving. The robot can then service both CNC machines and change the tool in it so that the items are machined with the right tools. This combined with the pallette change ensures unmanned operation for many hours.
