Automated pallet handling at BJ-Gear A/S

The robot cell consists of a KUKA 90kg robot, pallet gripper, charging station for insertion of items, pallet shelves and safety grille with operator access via light beam.

Items are loaded onto pallets at the loading station by the operator, who then selects a programme on a KUKA smartpad. It is equipped with a unique and user-friendly QRS interface, which ensures easy control of the cell.

The robot makes sure to handle both raw, and finished units, sends them to be machined in a Matsuura VX-1000 CNC machine and places these on pallet shelves.
